Forty percent of Cleveland workers believe the ability and willingness to learn new skills are what employers seek  in new hires, but 40% of employers report critical thinking and problem-solving are the most important skills for new employees, according to Careers 3.0. This series of Apollo Research Institute reports on workforce advancement highlights national and local findings from more than 50 studies on the convergence of education, skills, and work. 

Seventy-seven percent of Denver employers and 58% of Denver workers feel that the most important challenge facing their business today is the economy. Life in the 21st-Century Workforce explores employer and worker perspectives on the education and skills needed for career success. 

By 2015, it’s predicted that half of all growth in the U.S. workforce will stem from immigration; by 2035, this growth will likely reach 100%. The Future of Work report by Institute for the Future for Apollo Research Institute notes that diversity now includes varied professional backgrounds, generations, and ways of thinking.
